WELLNESS CARE
Wellness care should be the foundation of all health care, and we take it seriously! To us, wellness isn’t just vaccinations, it’s careful vaccination. It’s not just parasite prevention, it’s the careful use of parasite prevention. It’s customizing wellness to the needs of your pet and your family. It requires attention to nutrition, early detection of problems, balancing the body, and endless commitment to diagnosis and treatment. It’s not just physical, it’s mental, emotional, and energetic. Our wellness care includes Wellness Exams, Wellness Bloodwork, Blood Pressure, Vaccinations, Parasite Detection, Parasite Prevention, and Nutrition.
SURGERY & DENTISTRY
Our veterinary team is highly skilled and experienced in performing a wide variety of pet surgeries using modern techniques and cutting-edge equipment while always adhering to the strictest standards of safety and care. We’ll also be sure to answer any and all questions you may have to relieve any stress over your pet’s operation. And, yes, we are dentists for your pets too. While we do not take anesthesia lightly, there is a time and place for cleaning up that doggy breath. Whether your pet needs fresh breath or a solution for broken or infected teeth, we can help you.
ADVANCED MEDICINE
We believe that medicine is not a “one size fits all” practice. Each patient and every person have a unique set of circumstances and perspective. Our philosophy is to identify each patient’s individual needs and then to develop tailored wellness and treatment plans utilizing advanced medicine techniques. We also have dental evaluations available for your pet!
ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE
We provide these therapies in conjunction with traditional medicine and surgery to help improve outcomes and to give us additional options for treating our patients. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about whether these types of therapy could benefit your pet.
MOBILITY & COMFORT
Watching your pet in pain is never easy. We know the issue of pain management is of great concern to pet owners today. As in human medicine, we have a variety of medications available to manage your pet’s pain both before and after surgery and in the event of trauma. We would be pleased to discuss the options available to you and your pet under any of the above circumstances. Mobility and comfort treatment include Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture, Chiropractic and Spinal Manipulation, Therapeutic Laser, Massage, PRP, and Wheelchairs.
EXOTIC PET MEDICINE
At Whole Pet Veterinary Hospital, we are proud to offer services to our non-traditional pets, including small mammals (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, hedgehogs, gerbils, chinchillas, rats, mice, and sugar gliders). Many of our doctors spent extra time during their veterinary training to specifically focus on exotic animal medicine, and we are excited to offer this service.
Small mammals and reptiles can become ill and rapidly decline in less than 24 hours. Therefore, if your pet seems sick, it should receive prompt medical attention. When you first adopt your exotic pet, our veterinarian should perform a thorough exam to assess its health and to discuss husbandry requirements. Also, annual physical exams are crucial in non-traditional pets as they are in dogs and cats.
END OF LIFE CARE
Want to make sure your best friend has a happy and comfortable end of life and passing? We can help you with the hardest decision you will ever have to make, including how to help your pet peacefully transition at home.
